This document details our commitment to disclosing how we use and protect your information.
We collect personal and non-personal data for the sole purpose of providing visitors and members with services they are interested in getting from HangoutScheduler.com. We do not rent, sell, disclose or otherwise use your data for any nefarious purposes, period.
When we use the terms ‘using’ or ‘processing’ data or information, this includes storing cookies on your computer, analyzing web traffic data, storing, modifying, evaluating, combining, transferring or otherwise managing information gathered from HangoutScheduler.com for use within our organization.
Types and Sources of Data
HangoutScheduler collects data primarily in these ways:
- Website visitor data including IP address, pages visited, links clicked, time spent on the site, etc.
- Your email address if you opt into to our mailing list by completing a form
- Your name and basic Google Account information if you setup a free or paid account with us
- Information you submit to us on a help desk support ticket
- Information you submit as a part of using HangoutScheduler features including names and email addresses of individuals you invite to events, links back to your website (if using our WordPress plugin), profile information, etc.
Like most website operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as IP address, the browser type, language preference, referring site, the date and time of each visitor request, pages visited and links clicked.
HangoutScheduler’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the website for our own internal purposes. We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users. We would only disclose logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that we would disclose personally-identifying information under legal requirements as defined in the section below on Protection of Personally-Identifying Information.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
There are circumstances where visitors may choose to share personally-identifying information with HangoutScheduler. For example, you might sign up for an email list, or you may register for a free or paid account. The amount and type of information we gather depends on the nature of the interaction.
If you sign up to receive email, you’ll always have the option to ‘opt out’ of receiving future emails by clicking a link at the bottom of any email. If for any reason this does not work, please forward the email to email@example.com and we’ll take care of it.
If you sign up for a free or paid membership, you’ll be asked to provide additional information. This includes logging in with a valid Google Account and for paid accounts, providing financial information required to process a paid transaction. Credit card payments are processed using Stripe.com and we do not store any of your credit card data on our servers. If you’ve signed up for a plan with recurring billing, Stripe.com will charge your credit card at the appropriate interval. You can cancel your subscription at any time by completing a support ticket at:
HangoutScheduler.com uses the absolute minimum data access required to provide services. When you login with your Google Account for the first time, we ask for access to your account including basic info, contacts and calendar. We use access to these services to display a list of contacts to select from when using HangoutScheduler services to create events and to create events on your calendar on dates you determine. We do not save or store any contacts or calendar events unless they are part of services provided to you at HangoutScheduler.com.
In each case, HangoutScheduler.com collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of providing services that you select by using the website.

HangoutScheduler.com uses Google services to authenticate users to our site. We do not have access to, or store, your Google password – only an authorization token from Google that validates your identity and allows access only to your information on the site as it is related to the Google Account. No unnecessary data is read or stored.
You can learn more about Account Permissions including how to remove HangoutScheduler.com permissions from your Google Account here:
It is your responsibility to maintain control over and access to your Google Account. Please visit Google’s Privacy and Terms page for more information on your Google Account.
HangoutScheduler.com retains data that has been provided by visitors and members in order to provide our website services. We have no way of knowing when a user has decided to stop using the site and therefore will not, under normal circumstances, delete data associated with an account.
In cases where the Google Account used to sign up for services at HangoutScheduler.com has been disabled, deleted, or can no longer receive email, we may choose to remove data associated with that account without the user’s consent since our only method of contact is via a valid Google Account email. If this is no longer working, we have no way of notifying the user.
You can request deletion of your account and data by submitting a Support Request form here:
Prior to removing any data, we’ll need to validate it’s you by sending an email to the Google Account email address used to create the account. Unless you have access to this account, we won’t be able to remove the data.
You may also request a copy of the deleted data. Receiving a copy of data also requires verification of access to the Google Account used to create your account. Include the request for a copy of the data with your support ticket to delete the account.
Disclosure of Personally-Identifying Information
HangoutScheduler.com discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that:
(i) need to know that information in order to process it on HangoutScheduler’s behalf or to provide services available at our website, and
(ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.
Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using HangoutScheduler.com, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, we will only disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when HangoutScheduler.com believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of HangoutScheduler, third parties or the public at large.
If you are a registered user at HangoutScheduler.com and have supplied your email address, we may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with our products. If you send us a request (for example via email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we will use the contact information and data you provide to respond to your request.
Protecting your information
HangoutScheduler takes commercially reasonable measures necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of non-personal, potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information. However, neither people nor systems, including software, hardware and encryption, are foolproof. We choose vendors carefully, but ultimately rely on their security practices as well. While everyone associated with HangoutScheduler takes this responsibility seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security on the Internet.
If HangoutScheduler.com, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that we go out of business or enter bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of HangoutScheduler.com may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
Or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
